Minimum Experience Manager/Supervisor

The Director of Subscriber Acquisition role is responsible for leading our community solar customer acquisition efforts across several markets.

You will work in collaboration with our operations team and as a leader actively engaging with current subscription partnerships, community groups, industry associations, and local organizations with the objective of growing our subscriber base. You are responsible for developing and leading the execution of a strategy that drives an increase in Subscriber Acquisition in our key markets with a priority on Minnesota, Illinois, New York, Virginia and Maryland. 

As the Director of Subscriber Acquisition you will be creating new opportunities and relationships in these areas.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with strategic partners in key regions
  • Identifying and onboarding large public and corporate power offtaker customers, as well as small to medium business customers.
  • Day-to-day collaboration with operations, marketing and business development teams
  • Lead and manage subscriber acquisition campaigns in key regions
  • Engage with community groups and industry associations
  • Conduct market research and analysis to optimize acquisition efforts
  • Help manage and support subscribers as they move through enrollment process
  • Host info sessions and speak to audiences at relevant events to help engage both clients and customers Ability to work remotely, independently, and to manage professional relationships
  • You will drive planning, own the marketing budget, and create, test, and continually improve campaigns to deliver on our revenue and subscriber forecast
  • Create the business plan which will balance direct subscription efforts in certain markets with strategic partnerships to yield the best results for the company


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a preferred emphasis in business or marketing or equal relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience
  • Experience in the energy industry
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in direct marketing and/or subscription businesses
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management (direct report or cross-functional teams)
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to effectively evaluate and solve business challenges
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting deliverables
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
